Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations including incoming and outgoing shipments inventory coordination and team supervision. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient logistics accurate recordkeeping and a safe organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of materials
- Review shipping notices invoices bills of lading and orders to determine priorities and shipping methods
- Lead train and manage warehouse staff including assigning work and evaluating performance
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in all warehouse and returnable areas
- Conduct daily safety walkthroughs and enforce safety procedures
- Coordinate transportation to service locations and manage off-site warehouse operations
- Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and safety standards
- Participate in safety 5S and cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience in shipping receiving or warehouse operations
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong organizational problem-solving and communication skills
- Knowledge of shipping procedures routes and logistics processes
Physical Requirements
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Regular use of hands for handling materials and operating equipment
- Ability to stand walk and perform physical tasks in a warehouse setting
Work Environment
- Warehouse and dock environments with varying conditions
- Requires adherence to safety protocols and housekeeping standards
