Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations including incoming and outgoing shipments inventory coordination and team supervision. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient logistics accurate recordkeeping and a safe organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate shipping and receiving operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of materials
• Review shipping notices invoices bills of lading and orders to determine priorities and shipping methods
• Lead train and manage warehouse staff including assigning work and evaluating performance
• Maintain organization and cleanliness in all warehouse and returnable areas
• Conduct daily safety walkthroughs and enforce safety procedures
• Coordinate transportation to service locations and manage off-site warehouse operations
• Ensure compliance with company policies procedures and safety standards
• Participate in safety 5S and cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience in shipping receiving or warehouse operations
• Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Strong organizational problem-solving and communication skills
• Knowledge of shipping procedures routes and logistics processes

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Regular use of hands for handling materials and operating equipment
• Ability to stand walk and perform physical tasks in a warehouse setting

Work Environment

• Warehouse and dock environments with varying conditions
• Requires adherence to safety protocols and housekeeping standards
