Summary of Job:
The Warehouse Specialist - Finished Goods plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials and products within a solar manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for receiving storing organizing and distributing materials components and finished products. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented organized and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
Must-have/Required skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years of warehouse or logistics experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to receive inspect and verify incoming shipments against packing slips or purchase orders
- Ability to accurately label and store materials while maintaining inventory records
- Ability to conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation
- Ability to prepare materials and products for shipment including picking packing labeling and palletizing
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts pallet jacks and material-handling machinery safely and efficiently
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
- Ability to coordinate with production procurement and logistics teams
- Ability to follow company policies OSHA regulations and safety guidelines
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures dust and noise levels
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed
Nice-to-have skills:
- Additional certifications in logistics supply chain or warehouse management are a plus
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting shipping and distribution operations
- Experience participating in safety training and emergency response drills
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Receive inspect and verify incoming shipments against packing slips or purchase orders.
- Accurately label and store materials in designated locations while maintaining clear and orderly inventory records.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation to minimize discrepancies.
- Prepare materials and products for shipment including picking packing labeling and palletizing.
- Collaborate with the shipping team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of finished goods to customers or distribution centers.
- Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts pallet jacks and other material-handling machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse adhering to safety and environmental standards.
- Coordinate with production procurement and logistics teams to ensure material availability and timely delivery to support manufacturing schedules.
- Report damaged or defective materials to the appropriate department for resolution.
- Follow company policies OSHA regulations and safety guidelines to create a secure work environment.
- Participate in safety training and emergency response drills.
