Role Overview

A warehouse operations company in Pelham AL is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support daily receiving inventory picking packing shipping and warehouse operations within a fast-paced distribution environment. This temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for individuals comfortable with physical warehouse work inventory handling and maintaining safe efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive unload sort and store incoming products and materials
• Pick pack and prepare outgoing customer orders for shipment
• Load trucks and assist with shipping and freight preparation
• Operate pallet jacks forklifts and warehouse equipment as needed
• Maintain accurate inventory and warehouse documentation within ERP systems
• Verify product quantities inspect for damage and maintain inventory accuracy
• Perform manual pallet wrapping and material handling tasks
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness organization and safety standards

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of warehouse or material handling experience required
• Experience with loading unloading picking packing or shipping operations
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Ability to read work instructions shipping documents and safety procedures
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical warehouse labor
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Steel-toe shoes required

Nice-to-Haves

• Forklift or cherry picker experience
• ERP or warehouse system experience
• Inventory management experience
• Previous temp-to-hire or contract warehouse experience
• Forklift certification

Compensation

• $17.00/hour
• Full-time warehouse schedule
• Temp-to-hire opportunity
• Occasional overtime available
• Warehouse equipment training provided
