Responsibilities
The school seeks candidates to teach undergraduate courses in introductory statistics data exploration and visualization with the potential to add other courses in the mathematics and data science curriculum at UNE as well as additional courses in their area(s) of expertise based on the needs of the school and college. The typical teaching load is the equivalent of 12 credits per semester. The successful candidate will demonstrate the capacity for excellence in teaching and also engage in curriculum development and participate in academic advising recruiting course and program assessment and service to the school college and university.
Qualifications
A masters degree in Mathematics Statistics Data Science or a closely related field is required at the time of appointment; preference will be given to candidate with a Ph.D. and/or those with a combination of education and professional experience that provide commensurate qualifications. Individuals committed to teaching with inclusive pedagogies that promote active engagement to foster student learning are also encouraged to apply.
