The Opportunity

Were looking for a vCIO who is equal parts technical expert and trusted client partner. This role requires someone who is deeply familiar with IT infrastructure and systems but who also thrives in front of clientsguiding them through digital transformation optimization initiatives and long-term IT planning.

This is not a reactive account management role. As a vCIO youll be a strategic advisor and the face of Tech-Keys to your clientshelping them understand their environments solve big problems and make smart decisions about their technology investments.



Expected Outcomes:

What Youll Do

Strategic IT Advising

Lead regular client-facing technology review sessions (QBRs roadmap planning etc.)

Evaluate client infrastructure and service history to develop strategic initiatives and long-term roadmaps.

Actively seek ways to improve client operations through automation standardization and smart investment.

Client Communication & Relationship Building

Serve as the key point of contact for strategic-level conversations with clients.

Act as a translator between technical teams and business leadersbreaking down complex technical concepts into actionable business guidance.

Build and maintain strong trust-based relationships with client stakeholders including C-level executives.

Technology Alignment & Best Practices

Assess client environments for gaps risks and misalignment with Tech-Keys standards.

Recommend solutions that improve security scalability and efficiency across client systems.

Partner with internal engineers project teams and service desk to align recommendations with execution.

Proactive Planning & Reporting

Monitor support trends lifecycle issues and usage data to forecast risks or recommend future investments.

Develop and deliver clear visually impactful documentation and reporting (roadmaps lifecycle plans budget forecasts etc.).

Track client KPIs and satisfaction metrics to ensure continued alignment and success.

Interview Process:

Requirements:

Must-Have Qualifications

3 years of experience in IT consulting technical account management or similar client-facing roles.

Strong understanding of networking infrastructure cloud services cybersecurity and Microsoft ecosystems.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills including comfort presenting to executive stakeholders.

A passion for solving complex business problems through technologyand the strategic mind to anticipate needs before they arise.

Ability to multi-task self-prioritize and work independently in a high-demand fast-moving environment.

Preferred

Experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment strongly preferred.

Technical certifications (e.g. CompTIA Cisco Microsoft AWS) a plus.

Experience with MSP tools (e.g. ConnectWise IT Glue BrightGauge etc.).
