Job Title: --Utility Maintenance Mechanic
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Reports to Supervisor or assigned trades worker
- Completes service request in a timely manner
- Performs electrical maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs
- Repairs restroom fixtures and other minor plumbing duties
- Performs minor building equipment preventive maintenance
- Repairs sheet rock and spackles
- Spot paints common areas such as lobbies freight elevator lobbies restrooms etc.
- Replaces ceiling tiles and other basic carpentry task
- Maintains cleanliness in and around all Building Operations Services facilities also shops boiler room chiller room electrical room mechanical rooms etc.
- Paints equipment rooms and machinery
- Receives deliveries for projects controls moving & delivery crews use of elevators
- Driving skills with up to 1-1/2-ton truck.
- Overtime and shift work maybe required
- Perform any additional duties on an as required basis where such duties are within the scope of contractual obligations.
- Safely use all types of related hand and power tools
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Three years building maintenance experience.
- Strength and dexterity to perform physically demanding duties as outlined.
- Valid drivers license as required to drive any vehicles which may be assigned.
- Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures typical of maintenance operations. Ability to safely wear a respirator climb ladders enter confined spaces lift heavy objects and perform other physically demanding tasks
