Tufting Machine Operator

Shift: Night Shift 7:00 PM 7:00 AM Sunday Wednesday

Tarkett is seeking a Tufting Operator to join our Hospitality manufacturing this role you will operate cut pile tufting machines monitor product quality throughout production runs and help maintain a safe organized and efficient work environment. This is a hands-on position well suited to candidates who take pride in precision work and want to build a long-term career in manufacturing.

• Operate cut pile tufting machines including threading and replacing needles replacing cutting blades aligning the cutting blade block hook replacement backing changes roll tickets and doffing.
• Repair yarn breaks in creels and beams using an air splicer.
• Complete machine setup checks including the production checklist deck board and backing verification.
• Perform quality inspections during production runs and coordinate with the mender to repair voids in carpet as needed.
• Maintain a clean organized and well-ordered work area.
• Follow all company and regulatory safety and environmental guidelines including wearing required personal protective equipment using approved tools and equipment and applying safe work practices for each task.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and write in standard English.
• Proficiency in basic math including addition and subtraction.
• Ability to read and interpret graphic patterns.
• Ability to bend pull and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to remain on your feet for the duration of a 12-hour shift in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience operating cut pile tufting machines preferred.
