Training & Technical Assistance Associate II

The Center for Early Learning Professionals is seeking a full-time Training and Technical Assistance Associate II for its RI Pre-K PDTA project reporting to the Project Director.

The Center for Early Learning Professionals serves as the state of Rhode Islands hub for professional development and technical assistance for early childhood education workforce professionals and pre-licensed and licensed childcare programs including Center-based home-based and school age/out of school time as well as Rhode Islands RIDE-funded RI Pre-K programs. The Training and Technical Assistance Associate II is responsible for building capacity in state-funded RI Pre-K classrooms and programs. This position provides individual and small group technical assistance facilitates professional development opportunities and supports RI Pre-K programs as they complete grant deliverables. Through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders the Training and Technical Assistance Associate II identifies short- and long-term quality improvement goals for RI Pre-K staff classrooms and programs.

This position requires regular in-person site visits throughout Rhode Island and in-person meetings and professional development events. While there are opportunities for this position to complete some tasks remotely the position requires on-site presence to meet contract deliverables.

You Will

• Cultivate relationships with RI Pre-K program staff and provide technical assistance at both the classroom and program level.
• Develop and facilitate professional development series that are responsive to program needs and funder requirements.
• Analyze data related to program quality and collaborate with RI Pre-K staff and other key stakeholders to develop and support quality improvement goals.
• Support timely submission of RI Pre-K grant deliverables.
• Travel to specific sites regularly.

Qualifications :

Education

• Masters degree or teacher certification or equivalent combination of training and education in a related field preferred
• Bachelors degree in early childhood education or related field required

Skills & Experience

• With a Masters degree 5 8 years related experience in the disciplinary area social science or public health research education training curriculum design consulting organizational development or administrative management including solid experience with computer applications instructional design and internet research
• With Bachelors degree 7 10 years related experience (as above)
• Prior project leadership or supervisory experience
• Familiarity working with RI systems such as RI BrightStars Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) RI Department of Human Services Child Care Licensing and other child care agencies/systems as applicable
• Multimedia technology skills
• Ability to work independently while adhering to performance expectations 
• Knowledge of RI State Pre-K and related systems preferred

Travel

• Ability to travel regularly to specific sites in Rhode Island

The starting full-time base salary range for this position is $70000 - $85000.
