Toddler Teacher

Shepherds Flock Preschool in Arlington Heights is hiring a part-time Toddler Teacher $22.50/hour Monday through Friday 3:006:00 p.m. Youll lead a classroom of infants and toddlers on the campus of The Lutheran Home where the preschools intergenerational programming brings young children and older adults together.

As a Toddler Teacher youll plan and lead daily activities for your classroom build real relationships with the children and their families and create a safe engaging space where toddlers can learn and grow.

What youll do

• Plan and lead a nurturing engaging classroom for infants and toddlers
• Deliver a well-rounded age-appropriate educational experience
• Support each childs growth through intentional interaction care and guidance
• Build strong relationships with children families and teammates
• Keep the classroom safe organized and welcoming
• Take part in the preschools intergenerational programming with residents at The Lutheran Home

What youll need

Required:

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field including coursework in Human Growth and Development or Lifespan Development
• Comfortable caring for infants and toddlers
• Early Childhood Education Level 3 certification completed or willing to obtain after hire
• Infant Toddler Level 2 certification completed or willing to obtain after hire

Preferred:

• 13 years of early childhood education experience
