Tire Technician

Responsibilities:Our Material Handling Group is seeking a full-time Tire Technician for our Wilmington MA branch. Tire technicians will provide professional installation of industrial tires on material handling equipment. The primary responsibilities of the position consist of but are not limited to:Install tires on various material handling equipment primarily forkliftsSafely operate a single axle 26 foot box truck with a self contained industrial tire pressEnsure work orders are filled out correctlyPut away tires/stock in warehouseLoad trucks daily with inventory needed unload scrap at end of dayMaintain company truck (wash/clean check fluids daily walk around inspection)Fill out monthly truck inspection/condition formMaintain professional appearanceIncorporate Altas Guiding Principles into daily activitiesPerforms other duties as assignedConsistent regular and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start timeQualifications:Previous tire industry experience is preferredExperience operating a forklift hydraulic tire press pneumatic impact and torque wrench is preferredGood mechanical aptitudeExcellent oral and written communication skillsValid Chauffeurs License with a clean driving record is requiredDOT Medical Certification required upon hireLanguage Skills -Basic: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers clients and other employees of the Skills - Basic: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement volume and Ability - Intermediate: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized Demands/Work Environment:Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will use hands talk/hear; Frequently will stand walk sit reach with hands and arms stoop kneel crouch or crawl; Occasionally will climb or balance taste/smellVision: No special vision requirementsLift and/or Move Functions: Frequentlywill lift from 25 to 100 poundsWork Environment: Regularly will work near moving mechanical parts vibration; Frequently will work in outdoor weather conditions; Occasionally will work in wet or humid conditions (non-weather related) fumes or airborne particles extreme hear (non-weather related) risk of electrical shockCompensation Range: $30.00 to 34.00 per hour. This range is regarding base pay only and does not include benefits and potential bonuses. Overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographical location skillset education and experience.
