The Better Money Company Platform Engineer

The next wave of stablecoin adoption is payments. Were building a stablecoin clearinghouse to make stablecoins move like money not a trading asset. Were looking for a Platform Engineer who obsesses over correctness and efficiency. Help us build our test harness so we can build faster with confidence. How can we be more efficient Help us build the internal tools dev infrastructure and automation that give a small team the leverage of a big one.

We believe stablecoins are better money and will be the backbone of better payments. We see key structural problems hindering stablecoin adoption and were going to fix them starting with building a clearinghouse. Were a small scrappy team based in NYC weve raised $10M from a16z Crypto and other excellent partners and were going to bring better money to the world.

• Own the test harness for our core systemsintegration tests formal verification and chaos testing across the ledger netting algorithm money movement and payment ordering.

• Build correctness guarantees that let the rest of the team ship faster. If we can prove its right we can move with confidence.

• Design and build internal tools that amplify our productivity.

• Own CI/CD pipelines dev environments and deployment infrastructure. Make the path from code to production fast safe and boring.

• Instrument our systems with observability like logging tracing alerting so we catch problems before our customers do.

• The dishes.

• 3 years of experience in platform engineering developer tooling infrastructure or reliability engineering.

• Youve built test infrastructure for systems where correctness actually matters: payments trading ledgers or similar.

• Experience with formal verification property-based testing or chaos engineering is a big plus.

• You have strong opinions about what good internal tooling looks like and you build it without being asked.

• You thrive in ambiguity you view a lack of specificity as an opportunity for ownership.
