Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply new engine performance specifications to end-of-line hot test for new engine programs
• Create and maintain project schedules and budgets for new product introduction to end-of-line hot test
• Specify new equipment and other resources for end-of-line test prior to new product launch
• Implement process changes on time and in budget for new product launch
• Implement test equipment changes by managing order specification engineering design and acceptance testing from 3rd party vendors.
• Lead and participate in multiple simultaneous engineering efforts for new product development projects
• Assist process engineers with documenting manufacturing processes for new product: SOPs PFMEAs control plans layout studies cycle time analyses financial analyses

Qualifications & Skills

• B.S. Degree in Engineering (Prefer Mechanical Electrical Industrial or Manufacturing)
• 4 years of experience in engine testing product validation new product launches or manufacturing test engineering
• Extensive experience with software program language
• Experience with Visual Management/Project Management Tools
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Excellent technical verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work in a self-directed environment
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and influence others
  • Ability to work within deadlines to achieve goals

• Desired

  • Experience with FEV Test Cell Manager and/or Morphee Software
  • Understanding of diesel engine function and application
  • Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Experience in a simultaneous engineering style project environment
