THE JOB:
It is the responsibility of the Carpenter to perform predictive maintenance and reactive repairs including repairing broken or damaged furniture building custom cabinetry tables office space and other furniture as requested. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal state local laws regulations and ordinances as well as department and company policies practices and procedures to ensure overall facility integrity.
THE STARTING RATE:$38.12 USD Hourly
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Perform routine to complex maintenance and repair work on all furniture cabinetry rooms public areas and offices
Responsible for completion of jobs assigned by Dispatch or Management maintain logbooks
Operate power and hand tools to complete job assignments in a timely manner
Fabricate assemble and install permanent structures office partitions doors cornices counters etc. safely set up and operate various types of woodworking machines in conjunction with work assignments work under minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner
Work from blueprints sketches and verbal instructions to obtain dimensions and finished specifications lay out jobs and compute angular and linear dimensions as required
Understand the layout of the property hotel rooms and equipment
Keep informed and updated on current techniques and technical methods and advise Shift Supervisor of any unusual conditions within the property
Maintain constant awareness of personal and property cleanliness safety and accident prevention able to wear/use personal protective equipment (p.p.e.)
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Must be 21 years of age or older
High School Diploma GED or equivalent
Two (2) years of prior relevant experience in a similar environment
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
Must be able to work various shifts including weekends and all holidays
