Minimum Qualifications

Education:

• Licensed Social Worker (LMSW) with current NYS Education Department registration.

Experience:

• Experience providing direct services to individuals with mental disabilities (i.e. persons properly diagnosed as suffering from mental illness alcoholism or substance abuse)

• Supervisory experience desirable.

Certifications/Licenses:

• Maintenance of LMSW licensure and registration required.

Work Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

About the Role

The Team Leader/Social Worker supervises case managers ensures quality clinical services and coordinates interventions to support shelter residents toward stabilization and housing placement.

Primary Responsibilities

Provide clinical consultation and guidance to case managers.
Model trauma-informed recovery-oriented engagement.
Facilitate case conferences and support evidence-based interventions.
Train staff in independent living skills and clinical best practices.
Oversee clinical quality and integrity of independent living planning.
Participate in Supported Housing Task Force initiatives.
Organize information for the Mayors Safety Hub and participate in risk discussions.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
