Team Lead-Construction

About the Role:

Skillforce is seeking a bilingual Construction Team Lead for an ongoing project in Chester VA. Were looking for an experienced construction professional with strong leadership skills who is ready to lead a crew and grow their career in the construction industry.

Pay and Schedule:

• Pay: Up to $25/hour based on experience
• Schedule: 40 hours per week
• Overtime: Must be available to work overtime each week including weekends as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be bilingual.
• Valid OSHA 30 Certification
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• At least 3 years of construction leadership experience.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of construction site safety practices and willingness to adhere to safety regulations.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with foremen and onsite management.
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a crew of 58 construction laborers.
• Coordinate daily tasks and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
• Load unload and transport construction materials and equipment
• Prepare and maintain clean organized and safe job sites
• Support skilled tradespeople by supplying tools materials and assistance as needed
• Operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Assist with the installation and removal of scaffolding temporary structures and other site equipment
• Perform general labor duties including digging lifting carrying and material handling
• Communicate with supervisors and team members to report progress address concerns and maintain workflow
• Ensure all crew members follow company and OSHA safety standards
