Job Summary

A well-established CPA firm providing tax audit and advisory services to closely held businesses high-net-worth individuals and nonprofit organizations seeks a Tax Manager in Lincolnshire IL. Full-Time in-office Monday-Friday. Compensation: $120000-$150000 base (depending on experience) plus additional earning potential tied to client responsibility.

Position Summary: The Tax Manager plays a critical leadership role within the firms tax practice reviewing complex returns conducting tax research and managing client relationships. Oversees tax engagements from start to finish while mentoring junior staff and working closely with firm leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review complex federal and multi-state tax returns including-S 1065 and 1041

- Perform advanced tax research and planning for closely held businesses high-net-worth individuals trusts and partnerships

- Manage and maintain strong long-term client relationships

- Oversee tax engagements ensuring accuracy compliance and timely delivery

- Supervise mentor and review work prepared by junior tax professionals

- Collaborate with partners on complex tax matters and client strategies

- Participate in client meetings and provide technical guidance as needed

Qualifications & Requirements:

- 6-10 years of public accounting tax experience

- Active CPA license required

- Strong review experience across all major return types

- Demonstrated strength in tax research and planning

- Experience with federal and multi-state taxation

- Background working with closely held businesses and HNW clients

- Stable employment history; minimal job changes preferred

- Masters in Taxation considered a plus

Compensation & Benefits: Base $120000-$150000; health insurance; 401(k) with 4% employer match; CPA support and professional development assistance; approximately 3 weeks of starting PTO. Monday-Friday standard business hours; in-office (Lincolnshire IL); commute/relocate required; English required.
