Systems Architect
Defines the architecture of a computerized system (i.e. a system composed of software and hardware) in order to fulfill certain requirement including a breakdown of the system into components the component interactions and interfaces (including with the environment especially the user) and the technologies and resources to be used in the design.
The candidate will design and implement any new modules or functionality to work properly with the existing Datacap architecture and infrastructure. The Systems Architect will design develop implement support and enhance custom applications written based programming languages or other programming languages. Ensure user interfaces and back-end services are developed according to architecture programming and user experience (UX) standards. The
candidate will also participate/cooperate in any migration or replatforming efforts from the current technology and infrastructure to a future one.
1. General administration of the Datacap system applications and infrastructure to ensure maximum up time and the most efficient operation of the system and the applications which it houses.
2. Support of the users to help resolve any issues they might encounter in their course of using the applications on this infrastructure including the fix of any scanned batches.
3. Work with ITS staff to install and configure any necessary Datacap related software on any user workstation or VDI environment. This also includes the install and configuration of any necessary software on scanners used by the users.
4. Perform any bug fixes and enhancements to the code per approved requests from the users.
5. Provide any necessary help guidance and/or information in the efforts to replatform or migrate the current Datacap infrastructure to a future one if so required.
6. Provide knowledge transfer to staff as requested to help with the support of the Datacap infrastructure and/or the applications which reside on it.
7. Work with ITS staff to help debug System Network Database and/or application related issues to resolve any Datacap or application related issues.
Minimum requirements
84 months of experience in designing implementing and supporting document capture systems document scanning and data extraction technology for use in content management and
archiving solutions.
72 months of experience in IBM Datacap Taskmaster v7.6 or later supporting the software and custom applications including troubleshooting problems.
48 months of experience in Windows Server Administration.
48 months of experience writing highly complex and efficient SQL on one or more relational databases such as MS Access Oracle or SQL Server
36 months of experience in IBM Datacap Taskmaster v9.x or later supporting the software and custom applications including troubleshooting problems.
36 months of experience troubleshooting and resolving Network issues.
