Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to support application development and system enhancement initiatives for a state-level client. The role involves understanding business objectives analyzing system capabilities and recommending effective solutions while collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business objectives and operational procedures to identify system improvements and automation opportunities
Gather and document requirements from stakeholders and subject matter experts
Create use cases workflows acceptance criteria and system documentation
Perform cost/benefit analysis and evaluate alternative solutions
Ensure system design complies with established standards
Conduct testing including test data preparation execution and defect resolution
Provide status updates and communicate risks/issues to stakeholders
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers analysts DBAs project managers)
Maintain updates in ticketing systems and ensure transparency
Facilitate knowledge transfer through documentation and training sessions
Required Skills & Experience
5 years of experience in Medicaid Claims Processing
Strong experience in business analysis and solution identification
Expertise in gathering and documenting user requirements
Experience writing detailed functional and technical documentation
Experience in cost/benefit analysis
Ability to define input/output formats and reporting requirements
Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps and wireframing
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of IT industry trends architecture concepts and emerging technologies
Understanding of data integrity security practices and standards
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Preferred Skills
Experience withState DIR Project Delivery Framework
Familiarity with enterprise information architecture and data management
Knowledge of software architecture and infrastructure components
