Summary
The Systems Administrator supports the day-to-day operations maintenance and reliability of USICs enterprise infrastructure environment. This role is responsible for executing core administrative tasks across servers cloud environments and end-user systems while partnering with senior engineers cybersecurity and application teams.
This is a hands-on execution-focused role ideal for someone looking to grow within an enterprise IT environment while contributing to systems that directly support business operations.
This position will report to the Sr. Director Corporate Systems & Infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Installing patching and upgrading server operating systems (Windows/Linux) and software applications.
- User Support & Administration: Creating maintaining and removing user accounts permissions and security groups in Active Directory or Azure AD.
- Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitoring system logs performance metrics and network connectivity to ensure uptime.
- Backup & Security: Executing scheduled data backups verifying data integrity and performing restores when needed.
- Respond to and resolve infrastructure-related tickets and incidents
- Supporting and collaborating with senior engineers
Skills and Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in IT support or systems administration
- Bachelors degree in computer science information technology or a related field
- Experience working in a ticketing system (Zendesk Jira etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to inexperienced users
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to solve problems in stressful situations
