Job Title: Systems Administrator C. Advanced
Location: Onsite - Tallahassee FL 32311.
***Candidate must reside in Tallahassee or surrounding area and report onsite 5 days per week.
Scope / Background: The selected candidate will provide the best overall value based on skill set and rate.
Project Overview: Systems Administrator role supporting client with cloud services infrastructure Microsoft 365 identity platforms multi-cloud environments server administration security availability performance and daily operations support.
EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree or technical institute degree in Computer Science Information Systems or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
EXPERIENCE:
1. 2 3 years experience with: Server 2012 Rand 2022.
2. 2 3 years IIS Administration.
3. 2 3 years of network communications including TCP/IP and DNS Samba/CIFS file sharing and NTFS permissions.
4. 2 3 years of strong professional experience in AWS cloud systems is required.
5. 2 3 years of strong professional experience in Microsoft Azure cloud systems is highly desired.
6. 2 3 years of experience with other cloud providers such as GCP is highly desired.
7. 2 3 years of professional experience in the administration of Microsoft software is highly desired.
8. 3 5 years of IT work experience in infrastructure/network environments in systems operations support maintenance and administration.
9. 3 5 years of professional experience supporting middleware such as API Management IT Service Automation tools and batch job services is highly desired.
10. 5 8 years of professional experience in information systems engineering or a related field is required.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES / TASKS:
The activities this candidate will be tasked with include but are not limited to the following:
1. Support and expand clients infrastructure.
2. Coordinate server configuration and administration with multiple parties (SDC and contractors).
3. Make recommendations for future server and software upgrades.
4. Monitor systems and applications to ensure security availability and performance.
5. Establish systems by evaluating network performance issues including availability utilization throughput goodput and latency; planning and executing the selection installation configuration and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; and establishing connections and firewalls.
6. Maintains network and systems performance by performing systems monitoring and analysis and performance tuning; troubleshooting systems and application problems; escalating problems to vendor.
7. Find opportunities to refactor solutions to obtain better performance cost and efficiency.
8. Create and manage Azure DevOps projects git repositories and pipelines.
9. Oversee and configure Azure DevOps organizational settings.
10. Recommend and assist with the building and hosting of complex application solutions.
11. Understand deploy and manage AWS Microsoft Azure and/or other cloud services.
12. Supports other IT staff including developers.
13. Other duties as assigned.
