Were looking for a System Safety Certification Specialist who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly effectively and safely. This person must be comfortable working with a team of top-notch developers and collaborating with our engineering teams. Were looking for people who innovate and love solving hard problems. Key job responsibilities
- Help define the future of safety assessment processes and methodologies for drone aerial systems through coordination with regulatory bodies and technical standards organizations across the world
- Derive design safety requirements driven by regulatory requirements for Prime Airs ground based and aerial systems
- Partner with talented cross functional teams to integrate design safety directly into the system development process.

Export License Control
This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazons ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.

- 3 years of professional software and systems development experience
- Experience managing analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership while working cross functionally across several teams
- 3 years of professional experience coordinating with regulatory bodies on complex technical topics
- Experience in analysis and design of safety critical systems
- Proficiency in technical writing especially with respect to preparing certification plans and artifacts

- 3 years experience in system safety engineering in the aerospace automotive or robotics industries
- Experience with ARP-4761/4754 ISO26262 MIL-STD-882B or similar system safety processes.
- Experience developing FHAs Fault Trees Reliability Predictions FMEAs SSAs CCAs.
- Experience performing safety analyses in one or more of the following: Image based perception systems aerospace systems vehicle management flight controls cloud-based software intensive systems aircraft traffic management.
- Experience working with requirements management and safety analysis tools (CAFTA Medini and similar)
- Knowledgeable in systems engineering fundamentals including system decomposition requirements verification & validation and ICD definition

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
