This position is responsible for patient coordination for medical and dental procedures across multiple treatment locations including the management of hospital patients for surgery coordination and scheduling. Position directly supports Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery physicians with coordination of their professional time management between academic teaching multi-office multi-hospital and on-call scheduling. Supports/assists front office and back clinical duties as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinates internal/external appointments medical procedures/tests surgery clearances and surgery scheduling.
Verifies medical/dental insurance coverage obtains all required prior authorizations treatment planning/estimates collects patient payments and provides financial guidance.
Submits charges and chart audits for billing assists with accounts receivable and medical claims filing; assists with procedure/diagnosis coding.
Validate/triage/coordinate internal and external referral sources by phone fax email and mail.
Significant amounts of oral/written communication between all parties to exchange accurate and constantly changing information regarding the progression and quality of a patients coordination of care.
Supports/assists front office and back clinical duties as needed.
Target Compensation Maximum:
$28.55Target Compensation Minimum:
$19.03Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
