Job Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing multiple project teams through the entire development lifecycle by applying advanced subject matter knowledge. The role encompasses assessing engineering deliverables ensuring alignment with guidelines and standards and enhancing product quality. The role collaborates with customer engineering management to comprehend and document client priorities and requirements while also driving innovation and technology integration.

Responsibilities

  • Leads multiple project teams of other engineers and internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of NPI development across multiple engineering disciplines for complex products platforms systems and technology solutions.
  • Reviews and governs the technical quality of engineering deliverables from the project teams.
  • Evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with technology manufacturing requirements (DFM & DFA) and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality.
  • Provides overall engineering leadership across internal and external teams to drive timely product issues resolution
  • Provides overall engineering leadership across internal and external teams to manage timely product changes using established Change Management processes
  • Drives innovation and integration of new technologies (NUDs) into projects and activities in the engineering design organization.
  • Drives product and process innovation to improve product quality and process efficiency
  • Exercises independent judgment in resolving technical/product issues and establishing processes/ requirements
  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members to set an example of engineering design innovation and excellence.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Science or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 7-10 years of work experience preferably in engineering design engineering design tools and software packages or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in Supply Chain in a manufacturing environment

Pay & Benefits

The pay range for this role is $105050 to $161800 USD annually with additional

opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United

States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location job-related

knowledge skills and experience.
