Job Description:

This position plans leads controls and organizes the staff and activities of healthcare distribution of medical equipment and supplies and linen services for all shifts or the operations of surplus property mail services and receiving operations across all campuses.
This position is also responsible for analyzing data across the Supply Chain organization to create improvements in process methods and controls. Requires strong knowledge of logistics inventory and supply chain operations. Must be able to guide and train the workforce to make sure certain daily operations are performed optimally. Must be able to professionally interface and communicate with all levels of the organization. This position serves as an ambassador of UT on behalf of the department and in the community demonstrating our organizations values services and mission. The incumbent must be willing to work with Supply Chain staff members and other supervisors as needed to resolve customer product or other material management issues that impacts Faculty Staff Student experience and patient care.


Possess understanding of inventory control practices PAR creation and set
up cycle counting expired date checking to ensure viability of product.

Responsible for servicing all hospital PAR locations clinical and academic
customers and others as assigned. Must have the right amount of product at
the right place at the right time.

Develops and recommends improvements in the areas of Mail Services
Surplus Property Receiving Linen and CDS/SSC. Proposes solutions to
supply chain operations issues by working with the staff members in all
departments to properly define the best approach for completing operations
tasks.

Provides general direction and supervisory leadership to department staff to
resolve issues and provide customer service. On call for department needs
and rotates as required.

Engages with clinical and academic customers to ensure needs are being met
on a regular basis.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualifications/Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Education/experience/licensing:
Bachelors degree in business supply chain or related field preferred
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook)
Must possess working knowledge of MRP systems inventory control methodologies metric
development and process improvement execution Lawson knowledge preferred.
Must have used Payroll software.
Demonstrated capability of successfully managing a diverse workforce.
Preferred experience in the health care or higher education industry.
APICS certification preferred
