The purpose of this job description is to provide a general overview of responsibilities associated with the position; however the responsibilities listed are not all-inclusive. Support position to plan organize and control Supply Chain operations (Planning/Scheduling Procurement Packaging/Warehousing and Materials Controls) optimizing utilization of HCPs equipment materials and manpower to provide premium customer service.
This position will include a varying level of project work. Expect to participate in cross-functional teams within the plant and client to enhance performance in areas such as: manufacturing efficiency supply chain operations and customer service.
Use strong system skills analytical abilities and business knowledge to examine the effectiveness of manufacturing and Supply Chain operations and to communicate conclusions. Determine the scope of improvement projects; initiate and lead improvement projects as necessary. Develop reports and analyses for continuous improvement.
New system implementation projects and initiatives within the Supply Chain department
Support packaging and warehouse activities including process improvements in shipping and receiving optimizing warehouse storage solutions and improving packaging efficiencies
Create modify improve and support business reports and queries for Operations Supply Chain Finance and other functional groups
Directly responsible for performing work in a safe manner and maintaining a safe work environment. Is responsible for his/her safety as well as that of others who may be at the facility whether working or visiting. Is responsible for observing safe work practices and being proactive for reporting any unsafe conditions
Analyze internal and external processes (benchmarking) to maximize the efficiency of functions and systems
Candidate will mostly be in an office setting. May need to go on the production floor for info
Required Education (minimum required for consideration):
High School Diploma
Proven analytical and project management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Solid problem-solving skills and decision-making skills
Ability to multi-task; effectively prioritize and manage projects as well as day-to-day responsibilities
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact across all functions (engineering Supply Chain etc) and at all levels of the organization
Self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to use Microsoft Office software applications (Excel and Access)
Production planning and minimum 1 years of experience in Manufacturing Industry is required
Customer service skills a plus. However not a lot of phone calls will be made
2-5 years of experience in supply chain. Degree in supply chain or APICS certification preferred Supply chain Background needed(Inventory production planning scheduling or similar operational roles).
Minimum 1 years of experience in Manufacturing Industry is required and experience training or certification in Lean and/or Six Sigma/Performance Excellence. Green Belt certification preferred
Understanding of Cable Products Materials and Manufacturing processes. SAP Experience is highly preferred
Knowledge and understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. SAP experience preferred
