Job Summary:
The Supplier Quality Engineer II plays a pivotal role in ensuring top-tier supplier performance across electrical mechanical steel rubber and fabrication commodities. This position directly impacts the quality organization by executing and expanding key initiatives driving supplier quality improvements and supporting lean manufacturing and quality management systems. High proficiency in data analysis problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration is essential for success in this dynamic fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Participate in supplier approval and evaluation processes to ensure supplier compliance and capability.
- Conduct supplier evaluations document reviews and support supplier onboarding and continuity.
- Facilitate and manage supplier deviation processes acting as a liaison between engineering and suppliers.
- Monitor report and improve supplier performance KPIs driving corrective actions and continual improvement programs.
- Lead and support supplier quality systems policies and procedures.
- Execute root cause corrective action (RCCA) data analysis and reporting using statistical software and MS Excel.
- Manage internal and external corrective actions including supplier rejections and supplier corrective actions.
- Plan and execute product and process audits drive preventive actions and minimize quality escapes.
- Perform product verification activities with suppliers such as FAI Acceptance Test and Authorization to Ship.
- Support Kaizen continual improvement projects and initiatives to reduce rework and scrap.
- Analyze quality data and trends updating QM systems and providing executive-level presentations.
- Engage with cross-functional teams including engineering materials logistics sales and marketing to resolve quality issues.
- Execute additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
