About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical Superintendent to lead our I&E team. This role is critical to maximizing operational value and driving a strong safety culture.
Reporting to the Refinery Services Manager you will:
- Lead and develop a team of frontline supervisors and a crew of approximately 40 craftspeople
- Identify and act on opportunities to increase value generation
- Partner with technical specialists to bring additional expertise and drive operational performance
- Build and maintain an effective safetyfirst culture
- Coach people and provide development opportunities to enable high performance
- Own efficient effective problemsolving decisionmaking and action at the appropriate levels
- Instill a culture of employee ownership in facility care and operation
What Youll Bring
Required:
- A combination of relevant technical skills and experience will be considered; a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred
- Supervision or operations experience in heavy industrial manufacturing or similar environments
- Leadership experience in a fastpaced setting
- Ability to work effectively in multifunctional and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and leadership skills to manage a technical team
- Solid knowledge of electricity and instrumentation
- Experience with control systems (PLC HMI Drives SCADA)
- Commitment to continuous improvement and team performance
Soft Skills:
- Ability to articulate technical concepts to personnel at all levels
- Leadership autonomy flexibility decisiveness strong communication
Preferred (assets):
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations (e.g. MSHA OSHA)
- Experience in mining metals or heavy industrial processing
