Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Climate Adaptation and Water Management Team in either Baton Rouge or Metairie Louisiana!
As a Structural Engineer you will play a key role in delivering engineering and consulting services for a variety of projects including those focused on shoreline stability flood risk reduction and waterfront infrastructure resilience.
Role accountabilities:
As a Structural Engineer you will conduct structural analysis design and construction efforts for climate adaptation projects including seismic risk reduction flood mitigation and infrastructure resilience initiatives.
Other responsibilities include:
- Contribute to a diverse range of projects contributing to design development evaluation of solutions and construction implementation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative and sustainable structural solutions aligned with industry codes and standards.
- Support project budgets schedules and deliverables to ensure successful project completion within established timelines.
- Support business development mentorship and thought leadership as interested.
- Some travel may be required for project site visits client meetings safety audits or general planning purposes depending on project staffing needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of progressive related experience.
- Bachelors degree in related discipline.
- PE License.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Structural Engineering from a reputable institution.
- Progressive experience in structural engineering with a focus on infrastructure projects related to water management flood control and seismic resilience.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as STAAD MathCAD AutoCAD and Revit.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per salary range for this position is $90000 - $120000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors such as experience education budget internal equity project and location.
