Strategic Sourcing Manager

MORryde is currently seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join our Purchasing Team. In this vital role you will manage all processes throughout the materials life cycle. From researching selection and negotiating with suppliers to purchasing confirming fulfillment and managing production and quality roadblocks you will be able to take full ownership from start to finish.

MORryde is a fast-paced opportunity driven company that specializes in custom metal fabrication chassis modification suspension products and aftermarket products and services. We supply parts to a wide variety of industries including recreational vehicles agriculture transit bus medical trucking and other industrial markets. Being a part of the Purchasing Team will allow you to build and manage relationships your success will be in large part on how you foster internal and external relationships this includes supplier relations externally but also collaboration with Sales Engineering Production Administration and Accounting internally.

What youll do:

• Research and source strategic suppliers and part procurement (domestic/overseas)
• Negotiate supplier pricing terms delivery freight (domestic/overseas) warranty etc.
• Manage supplier relations evaluating quality delivery & overall supplier performance
• Collaborate with our Product Development and Sales teams on new product ideas
• Manage and evaluate inventory levels; work closely with sales to understand customer forecast
• Place supplier orders to meet production demands for immediate needs and items with long lead times
• Research and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Manage and resolve supplier quality & warranty issues
• Cost analysis projects

• Prior purchasing procurement (domestic/overseas) or supply chain experience preferred
• Skill and high interest in cost and other numerical analysis
• Confidence to professionally negotiate and manage supplier relations
• Customer service mindset a must both with suppliers and internal teammates
• Self-motivated and self-managed
• Desire to learn in depth about how the materials & components are made and used in final assembly
• High adaptability to respond to new and quickly changing material requirements and lead times
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced ever-changing environment
• Extremely detail oriented and good follow-through skills
• Excellent professional communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to analyze data stay on top of world events (tariffs Force Majeure commodity changes) and trends to make solid purchasing decisions
• Proficiency with manufacturing software systems and Excel
