Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Production Technician to support surgical and clinical operations through the safe and efficient processing of surgical instruments and medical equipment. The technician is responsible for decontamination inspection assembly sterilization and distribution of instruments and trays in accordance with established infection control standards.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring all surgical instruments are properly processed tracked and delivered in a timely manner to support patient care and surgical procedures. Strict adherence to AAMI OSHA and facility policies is required along with accurate documentation of sterilization and tracking activities.
Key Responsibilities
Perform decontamination cleaning inspection assembly and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment
Operate sterilization and cleaning equipment including steam sterilizers ultrasonic cleaners and washer-disinfectors
Assemble package and prepare instrument trays according to established protocols and departmental standards
Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure instruments are safe functional and properly maintained
Maintain accurate records for sterilization cycles biological testing and instrument tracking systems
Follow infection prevention safety protocols and hazardous material handling procedures at all times
Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking sterile supplies as needed
Support case cart preparation and ensure timely distribution of sterile supplies to clinical areas
Ensure full compliance with hospital policies regulatory requirements and industry standards
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) certification preferred or required
Minimum 1 year of sterile processing experience in a hospital or surgical environment preferred
Strong knowledge of surgical instruments decontamination procedures and sterilization techniques
Familiarity with steam sterilization aseptic technique and infection control practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Strong attention to detail organization and time management skills
