Job Title: Staffing - Technician III (Construction Inspector Project Services)
Location: Scranton PA (On-Site; Must reside within 1 hour of Scranton/Wilkes-Barre)

Job Summary:
This role serves as an Outside Plant (OSP) Construction Inspector within Corning Optical Communications Engineering Services group. The Technician III will directly oversee fiber optic construction projects across Scranton and surrounding areas ensuring compliance with technical standards and customer specifications. The positions impact is critical for the successful delivery of Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) single-family multi-dwelling and business connectivity projects. Daily site travel is mandatory with vehicle rental expenses reimbursed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and document daily vendor activities for FTTH projects using Sitetracker mobile system.
- Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure project familiarity.
- Monitor fiber optic construction to guarantee adherence to customer and industry standards.
- Conduct on-site evaluations address project progress and respond to project manager or customer inquiries.
- Direct contractor activities as needed to maintain project timelines.
- Support inventory management and material consumption tracking.
- Enforce strict safety protocols and use of PPE on site.
- Perform comprehensive quality inspections for ongoing and completed work.
- Adapt to varied work environments and weather conditions including extensive walking and driving.
- Execute other related duties as assigned.
