We are currently seeking a qualified Staff Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and guiding the development of advanced sensing and imaging capabilities from concept through operational deployment. Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams you will provide systems-level leadership across architecture performance and technology decisions ensuring solutions meet both technical and customer objectives.

Responsibilities
- Lead the development and evolution of advanced sensing and imaging systems providing technical leadership from concept definition through deployment and operations.
- Translate customer mission and operational requirements into system architectures technical specifications and engineering solutions.
- Drive system-level design decisions and trade studies across sensors RF systems signal processing algorithms software and end-user applications.
- Lead the development of innovative signal processing and imaging approaches to enhance system performance and capability.
- Guide multidisciplinary teams through integration verification validation and performance assessment activities.
- Identify technical risks evaluate mitigation strategies and support critical engineering decisions throughout the program lifecycle.
- Support commissioning calibration and operational readiness activities to ensure system performance meets design objectives.
- Serve as a technical authority providing guidance to engineering teams stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Contribute to technology roadmaps and future capability development through innovation research and strategic technical planning.
- Mentor and coach engineers fostering technical excellence and supporting the growth of team capabilities.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering Engineering Physics Physics Mathematics or a related technical discipline.
- Strong experience in signal processing algorithm development and/or systems development.
- Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering Physics RF systems antennas wave propagation or related sensing technologies.
- Experience designing developing or optimizing complex sensing imaging or data-processing systems.
- Demonstrated systems-thinking ability and experience working in multidisciplinary engineering environments.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience in One or More of the Following Domains: Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR); Radar Systems; Sonar / Acoustic Sensing Systems; Medical Imaging; Advanced Imaging or Remote Sensing Technologies.
- Experience with image formation image reconstruction beamforming detection tracking or related algorithms would be an asset.
- Experience with satellite aerospace space defense or other mission-critical systems would be an asset.
