Responsibilities
Performsultrasoundprocedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or images on appropriate archival systems. Participates in performance improvement activities in thedepartment. Maintains appropriate quality control records and participates in routine equipment testing and maintenance. Requires active ARDMS status and previous ultrasound experience.
This per diem position will cover weekends at the Berkeley OP Center and also have the opportunity to work additional hours in San Francisco and various UCSF locations.
Qualifications
Required:
- Graduate of a formal accredited ultrasound training program in an approved school.
- Flexibility in scheduling ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays and on-call shifts.
- Requires ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and OB/Gyn specialties at minimum.
- Requires 2 years as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or equivalent.
- New hires who meet criteria of equivalent experience and credentials held must also have equivalent Senior Sonographer skills; the Senior Diagnostic Medical Sonographer title may be granted at the discretion of the Section Chief and Section Supervisor.
- Maintain ARDMS credential(s) according to the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographys criteria.
