The Amazon LEO for Government (ALG) Engineering organization is a multi-disciplinary technology team established to rapidly address the needs of targeted government and international customers with specific solutions that have the potential to scale. ALG Engineering leads the development and delivery of targeted and scalable solutions for custom space and terrestrial applications. ALG collaborates closely with Project Leo to leverage the constellation of advance satellites to provide seamless and efficient communication capabilities to meet the needs of our customers. The ALG Engineering team is seeking highly technical and talented individuals who are passionate about creating unique solutions that result in a positive impact on a global scale.
The Sr. Systems I&T Engineer will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary team to design integrate and test innovative terrestrial communication applications. The Sr. Systems I&T Engineer will work closely with colleagues throughout Amazon Leo for Government (ALG) inter-disciplinary teams and collaborate with key partners and suppliers in order to ensure our system exceeds customer expectations. The Sr. Systems I&T Engineer must be responsive flexible innovative and able to succeed within a collaborative fast-paced and dynamic environment.
As a member of the ALG Engineering Integrated Systems Solutions organization the Sr. Systems I&T Engineer will be responsible for developing the architecture and executing the design build and validation of test systems for complex systems and subsystems. The candidate will develop test approaches plans and procedures to support integration and verification of HW embedded SW and FPGA when new features and capabilities are deployed. The candidate will also develop test architecture and test equipment design to support test objectives including end to end testing with RF systems electronics simulation and emulators.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the test architecture supports all aspects of the integration test verification and validation of custom user terminals. Testing efforts include functional and performance testing through various environmental conditions as required and it will be the candidates responsibility to ensure the test systems enable efficient test execution and requirements verification.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience working on large-scale programs with a diverse set of talented individuals as well as with partner organizations (including government agencies).

Provide System Integration and Test leadership for complete hardware and software feature testing.
Provide technical integration expertise across full SW and HW stack including custom ASIC FPGA and SW deployed across multiple processors
Work with various functional engineering disciplines (SW FW SE and HW) to derive test inputs and outputs to create functional and performance test plans and procedures. Execute test and document test results.
Leverage system expertise to lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis and corrective actions
Specify and develop end-to-end system or sub-system integration and test plans and procedures to validate performance against customer and/or partner requirements.
Analyze test data and engage with the engineering team to evaluate product performance and suggest improvements to Units Under Test and test support equipment.
Work with Subject Matter Experts to lead the architecture design and validation of test equipment software and hardware necessary to execute test plans and procedures
Security Clearance : This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance of TS/SCI.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science
- Experience in developing functional specifications design verification plans and functional test procedures
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems or experience that includes strong analytical skills attention to detail and effective communication abilities and experience in software development
- 5 years of hands-on experience using electrical test and measurement equipment including digital multimeters (DMMs) oscilloscopes vector network analyzers (VNAs) spectrum analyzers and signal generators for hardware validation RF characterization debugging and system integration.
- 5 years of software and firmware integration and test or related industry experience to integrate complex systems such as communication and radar systems
- 4 years of experience testing embedded complex systems developed in C C Python Docker or Rust for aerospace automotive or consumer electronics products
- 5 years working with test infrastructure or other systems running on Linux platforms
- Masters degree or above in electrical engineering computer engineering or equivalent
- Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines or experience completing complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround
- Experience in verbal and written communication for executive level leaders
- Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality
- - Ability to coordinate between engineering test lab and technicians (if applicable) and schedule testing resources
- Experience as the technical lead leading small groups of other test engineers across multiple test efforts
- Experience in test plan development related to established space hardware test standards (GEVS/SMC-S-016) or military and common standards (MIL-STD-810 DO-160)
- Experience in automating tests and processing data using one or more of the following: Python Matlab LabVIEW C/C Docker and Rust. This includes the ability to create test algorithms test scripts automation and calibration routines for test systems
- Experience in configuring and troubleshooting TCP/IP networks

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
