TheSenior Specialist High Voltage Training & Programsis responsible fordeveloping delivering andmaintainingEnvironmental Health & Safety (EHS) training programsand serving as the organizations committee chairfor itsautomotive high voltage (HV)safety role is critical to ensuring employees contractors and visitors areproperly trainedto work safely in advanced automotive manufacturing engineering and vehicle service operations.
Reporting to the Sr. Director Environment Health & Safety this position will establish positive working relationships with internal stakeholders and third-party support.

EHS Training Program Ownership
- Own thedevelopment delivery and continuous improvementof EHS training programs across manufacturing engineering and support functions.
- Deliver classroom virtual and hands-on training for topics including:
- High-voltage safety (EV systems battery packs power electronics)
- Electrical safety and lockout/tagout (LOTO)
- PPE hazard communication emergency response and contractor safety
- Maintain training documentation curricula and attendance records in EHS and HR systems.
- Manage competing priorities across multiple projects while ensuring critical milestones and business objectives are achieved.
- Own enterprise-level project plans timelines deliverables and stakeholder communications related to Training and High Voltage EHS initiatives and requirements.
- Drive standardization of EHS processes documentation training and reporting across enterprise related to EHS training and High Voltage.
High Voltage & Electrical Safety Expertise
- Serve as asubject matter expert (SME)for automotive high voltage and electrical safety requirements and chair the enterprise High Voltage safety committee.
- Support the development and implementation of:
- HV authorization programs
- Qualification matrices and refresher training
- Safe work procedures for energized and deenergized systems
- Partner with Engineering Production and Commercial Operations to integrate HV safety requirements into daily operations.
- Support the development of thermal response plans and associated training.
- Coordinate requirements with other organizations as necessary including parent company partners and/or regulators.
Engagement & Compliance
- Be a visible and approachable EHS presence at Scout locations and in work areas.
- Conduct risk assessments task observations and training effectiveness checks as necessary.
- Support incident investigations and apply lessons learned into updated training content.
- Assistwith regulatory compliance efforts related to OSHA NFPA 70E and applicable electrical safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal state and local EHS regulations and company standards
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Partner with EHS colleagues Engineering Production Commercial Operations HR and external training vendors and/or partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement EHS procedures practices and training appropriate for the risks hazards and conditions in area of responsibility
- Support site EHS initiatives audits onboarding programs and EHS campaigns.
- Contribute to a stronglearning culturethat emphasizes practical risk awareness
- Influence stakeholders at all organizational levels to ensure EHS considerations are incorporated into business planning and execution.
- Identify risks barriers and resource challenges and proactively develop mitigation strategies.

Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role may be based out of theScout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte NC.
- This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings and events.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the companyfrom time to time.
- Travel: Frequent business travel (domestic) to other Scout locations will be .Valid drivers license required.

- Education/Certifications: Bachelors degree inEnvironmental Health & Safety Engineering Industrial Technology or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Years of Experience: 8 years of EHS experience preferably in automotive EV battery electrical or manufacturing related environments.
- Demonstrated experience withautomotive high voltage systems(e.g. EV platforms HV batteries powertrain or test systems) highly preferred.
- Experience developing and deliveringtechnical or safety trainingto adult learners.
- Working knowledge of:
- Electrical safety and LOTO principles
- PPE requirements and hazard recognition
- OSHA and applicable EHS standards
- Familiarity withNFPA 70E electrical risk assessments vEFK framework.
- Safety or technical certifications (e.g. OSHA 30 CSP/GSP EV or HV safety credentials).
- Experience using EHS management systems or learning management systems (LMS).
- High degree of ownership accountability and ability to drive results

This is a full-time exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidates skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range $110000.00 - $135000.00
