THE ROLE:TheField ServiceTechnicianLevel2willbe responsible forstart-up and commissioning of projects preventative maintenance and basic submersible wastewater pump (Flygt) and control panel troubleshooting at customer sites.Product specific training will be provided.Will interact with customers.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:To perform the job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorilyafter sufficient trainingis provided.
Evaluate repair and conduct hydraulic mechanical and electrical testing of submersible wastewater pumps
Troubleshooting of electrical control panels
General understanding of schematics and wiring diagrams
Perform start-ups and train customers on the equipment
Preventative maintenance and emergency callouts
Operatingand maintaining a service truck with crane and out-riggers
Operatingindustrial equipment in a shop environment such as forklift overhead cranes etc.
Working with variousCompany provided hand and power tools
Accurate record keeping inside Xylems work order management system
Create andmaintaina safe and organized working environment and culture within the organization and following protocols at customer locations
Take care of company property

Must be able to function in a team environment
Work independently
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Daily local travel
Up to 50% overnight stays depending on location

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Requirements
HS diploma or equivalent
Experience Requirements:
2 to 5years of technical work experience
Skill Requirements:
Electrically and mechanically inclined
Demonstratescritical thinking and troubleshooting ability
Comprehendtechnical information and communicate it clearly
Experience with Microsoft Office and smart devices

DAY IN THE LIFE:
In this role the working environment is an industrial shop setting where use of PPE is. May also include exposure to hazardous material and loud noises. The physical demands may include but not limitedtostanding and lifting to 50 lbs.In addition this role may require overtime and travel may be needed for training sessions.
