Job Summary

General Summary

Astronics Test Systems is seeking a senior-level TestVue Electronic Test Technician to lead hands-on testing troubleshooting and calibration activities for the TestVue product family (including PinPoint Alpha/Sigma UDA FaultFinder CRS9000 and related platforms).

This role serves as the technical bridge between Production Engineering and Quality ensuring every new system and subassembly meets performance and reliability standards before release. The ideal candidate combines deep bench-level electronics experience an understanding of the TestVue software environment and a passion for mentoring others in best practices for electronic testing and workmanship.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Electronic Technician degree or equivalent technical training
  • 5 years of experience in electronic test or repair; experience with TestVue or automated test equipment (ATE) platforms strongly written and verbal communication skills ability to communicate issues impacts and corrective actions.
  • Proficiency in measuring devices and test equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to read schematics and specifications
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose PCB-level issues and perform component-level repairs.
  • Excellent organizational skill including the ability to use Microsoft Excel
  • Entrepreneurial self-starter mindset. Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment
  • IPC or J-STD certification/training experience highly desirable (IPC-A-610 or 7711/7721 preferred).
  • Ability to work in teams and to think/act quick on their feet

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Thorough understanding of electronic test principles calibration and measurement practices.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot TestVue hardware systems to component or board level.
  • Understanding of the TestVue software interface and how it interacts with test instrumentation.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision as well as collaboratively with others.
  • Strong attention to detail good communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical issues to peers and company management.
  • Proficiency with standard business software tools such as Microsoft Excel Word.
  • Work with test equipment spectrum analyzers Oscilloscope Measuring receiver and signal generator.
  • Ability to clearly recognize and report relevant information.
  • Must be a US person.
