Job Title: Sr. Business Analyst
Location: Denver CO Hybrid MST (Onsite every Tuesday)
Duration: 11 months Contract

Job Description:

We are seeking a mid-level ITS Business Analyst with 5 years of experience to support vendor-delivered technology projects and selected internal application initiatives. The Business Analyst will lead and coordinate requirements activities serve as a liaison between business stakeholders vendors and IT teams and support communication and training activities to ensure smooth adoption. The role will also contribute to production support by triaging issues and working with development and vendor teams to clarify and resolve defects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary Business Analyst on vendor-led technology projects.
• Facilitate discovery sessions workshops and ongoing requirements clarification.
• Translate business needs into clear and testable requirements.
• Develop BRDs User Stories Use Cases and Acceptance Criteria.
• Partner with vendor Project Managers and Solution Architects to confirm scope assumptions dependencies and change requests.
• Develop or contribute to communication plans for releases and technology changes.
• Partner with business owners to develop training plans training materials job aids and train-the-trainer activities.
• Coordinate UAT planning test scripts feedback and defect tracking through closure.
• Gather and refine requirements for internal application enhancements and minor projects.
• Support production issues by triaging problems and reproducing defects.
• Work with development and vendor teams to clarify expected behavior and document defects.
• Prepare detailed bug reports including steps to reproduce logs and business impact.

Required Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience as an IT/ITS Business Analyst or similar role such as Systems Analyst or Product Analyst.
• Strong requirements gathering and documentation experience.
• Experience with BRDs User Stories Use Cases and Acceptance Criteria.
• Experience facilitating stakeholder meetings discovery sessions and workshops.
• Experience with UAT planning test scripts and defect tracking.
• Experience working with vendors business stakeholders and IT teams.
• Strong communication coordination and analytical skills.
