Sr BI Developer

Summary

The Senior BI Developer is responsible for the design development and optimization of curated data solutions and enterprise BI capabilities. This role leads cross-functional initiatives working with Data Engineering BI and business stakeholders to deliver strategic reusable data products analytical pipelines and impactful dashboards. The Senior BI Developer provides technical leadership establishes best practices and mentors other BI developers to advance organizational data maturity.


What Youll Do

• Designarchitectbuild and maintain scalable business intelligence solutionsacross the enterprise

• Lead cross-functional collaborationwith Data Analysts Data Engineers Test Engineers and business stakeholders to ensure delivery of end-to-end solutions

• Translate complex business needs into enterprise level technical designs data models and BI solutions.

• Partnerwith the data engineer and data platform teams to supportthe design build and maintenance ofanalytical pipelines

• Lead and mentor other BI developers to implement best practicesdashboarddesign standardsanddata visualization strategies

• Conduct POCsand recommend adoption of emergingBI technologies

• Build and deliver rich and efficient dashboards using Microsoft Power BI andcloud baseddata platforms

• Collaborate with other BIdeveloperto define reporting standards and best practices

• Proactively identify diagnose and resolve production issues ensuring stability and performance across BI solutions.

• Promote data literacy and BI tool adoption by coaching business partners and power users.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for BI solutions processes and governance standards.

• Act as a thought leader in BI strategyevaluating and proposing enhancements to tools processes and architectures.

Leadership Responsibilities

• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level BI developers.
• Provide technical guidance and peer review on BI development and design.
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams ensuring alignment of BI strategy with organizational goals.

MinimumQualifications

• Bachelors degree (or higher) in Computer Science Data Science Business Analytics or related field
• 4 years of progressive experience developing BI solutions dashboards and reports
• 4 years of experience with data warehousing relational database development and advanced SQL
• 4 years of experience with cloud-based data platforms (Databricks Snowflake BigQuery Redshift Azure Synapse etc.)
• Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Power BI (including DAX data modeling and Power BI Service administration)
• Strong knowledge of BI governance data modeling best practices and enterprise analytics delivery
• Experience leading or mentoring BI developers in an Agile/Scrum environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives prioritize work and deliver high-quality results in fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and business audiences
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to translate ambiguous requirements into scalable solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Power BI Tableau or Looker Certifications
• Additional cloud data platform certifications (Databricks Azure AWS or GCP)
