What you will do
Receive service calls from Service Resource Center including a brief description of equipment/system malfunctions. Contact customer representative and ascertain equipment/systems problems. Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial industrial applications. These include but are not limited to wet (steel copper and CPVC) dry pre-action deluge and fire pumps.

How you will do it

  • Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals part manuals change notices and bulletins modification notices order to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints diagrams submittals specifications software/systems programs schematics and operational product manuals.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service with strong organizational skills positive attitude and an ability to learn quickly.
  • Must have the ability to work alone.

What we look for

Required

  • 2 years of documented experience in Fire Sprinkler industry performing service and repair to Sprinkler and Suppression systems
  • Retain any licenses that are required by National State and Local codes.
  • Must maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs
  • Must adhere to implement and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
  • Possess a valid drivers license and driving record that meets company requirements
  • Follow verbal and written instructions
  • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 60 feet working within ducts crawl spaces above ceilings etc.
  • Must be able to follow read and understand all safety requirement of the company and the customer

Preferred

  • NICET Level II certification is a plus

Pay Range: hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are providedthrough a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
