Job Summary
The Club at Starr Pass is excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Spray Technician. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to the clubs managed by Troon. The desired candidate would be someone who enjoys working outdoors is a team player self-motivated detail-oriented and appreciates the value of hard work.
Duties include but are not limited to mixing preparing and applying chemical solutions (insecticides herbicides fungicides). The candidate will also keep up with pesticide and fertilizer inventory as well as keep records of pesticide and fertilizer applications.
Special Requirements:
- Have no problems wearing spray applicator suits full face respirators or chemical-resistant apparel
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Perform simple calculations
- Willing to learn
- Detail oriented
- Keep the area neat and organized
- Have or are willing to obtain a Pesticide Applicators License within 60 days of employment
Job Description:
- Apply fertilizer and chemical applications
- Update spray records inventory and MSDS sheets
- Calibrate spray equipment and fertilizer spreaders
- General upkeep and maintenance on spray equipment
- Over time be able to start diagnosing pest and fungus issues
