Job Summary
The Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking a full-time SLP for our adult inpatient team. The successful candidate will work on a team with 16 inpatient SLPs and will provide swallowing speech-language and communication interventions to adults with complex medical neurologic oncologic and surgical disorders in the acute care setting.About Us:

Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) is a 1000 bed academic medical institution associated with Harvard Medical School. Masters Degree Speech Therapy required

Masters degree in Speech-language pathology/Communication disorders
MA State license or eligibility for
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology CCC-SLP - American Speech Language Hearing Association
BLS Certification
Experience
speech pathology experience 1-2 years preferred; acute hospital experience 1-2 years preferred
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Availability to work 4 x 10-hour days including weekends.
- Maintain variable work schedule depending on hospital/program needs to provide patient care.
- Familiarity of diagnostic assessments for speech language.
- Employee must have strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to incorporate new clinical procedures sufficiently to perform clinical services independently.
- Ability to perform functions associated with contemporary audiology and speech-language pathology scope of practice.
- Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
- Knowledge of state standards federal and state regulations.
