Job Description:

The candidate for this position will be responsible for developing electronics packaging designs for ruggedized ground and airborne military systems. The candidate will execute assignments independently under moderate supervision as a member of a multi-disciplinary engineering design team.

Essential Functions:

• Detailed mechanical design and analysis of electronic systems boxes and modules
• Extensive use of mechanical CAD modeling tools
• Specification model and drawing generation per ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5
• Collaboration with multifunctional teams encompassing engineering procurement and operations
• Mechanical and environmental testing and mechanical troubleshooting of electronics systems
• Travel (domestic and foreign) may be required 2-5% in a year
• Ability to obtain a US security clearance is required

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
• In lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior related experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Excellent communication skills
• Broad understanding of basic mechanical design and analysis practices
• Hands-on hardware or laboratory experience with electronic assemblies and systems
• Experience and interest in the analysis simulation and testing of thermal and mechanical systems
• Familiarity with Windchill Creo and military design and environmental test standards
• Secret clearance is preferred but not required to start. The ability to acquire a Secret clearance is required

In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in New Jersey is $88500 - $164500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
