Job Summary
The Neshaminy School District isseekingto hirea Life Skills Support Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. This position is anticipated start in August of 2026 for the 2026-2027 school year.
Salary and benefits are consistent with the NFT collective bargaining agreement which can be found on the website under Human Resources.
Qualifications include a valid PA certification for K-12 special must be in good standing with Act 48 credits.
Neshaminy School Districtrequiresa valid Child Abuse Clearance FBI clearance PA State Police Criminal Check and completed Act 168forms for all employees before they may begin work.
The Life Skills Support Teacher provides specially designed instruction to sutdents with significant cognitive developmental communication adaptive and/or multiple disabilities who require intensive support ot access and make meaningful progress in their education program.
Instruction is explicit systematic evidence-based and tailored to each students individual needs which may include instruciton in foundational academic areas such as English language arts mathematics science and social studies as well as in functional academics communication social and interpersonal skills self-regulation personal care as appropriate to each sutdents needs.
The teacher works collaboratively with families general education teachers paraprofessionals related service providers administrators and other members of the IEP team to provide a coordinated educational proram that maintains high expectations promotes meaningful inclusion and develops each students independence.
