Focus: Self-Contained Functional Skills Instruction

Sample Duties:

Deliver Functional & Life-Skills Academic Instruction: Design and implement individualized instruction focused on functional academics independent living skills and pre-vocational training tailoring lessons to meet the unique intensive needs of students within a self-contained setting.

Cultivate Behavioral & Social-Emotional Growth: Develop and enforce positive behavior support plans teach functional communication and foster social-emotional learning to maximize student independence and community integration.

Manage Case Load & Compliance: Serve as the primary case manager for a designated roster of students including tracking progress writing comprehensive IEPs and facilitating annual review meetings.

Lead and Direct Classroom Support Staff: Supervise train and collaborate with classroom paraprofessionals to ensure consistent implementation of instructional strategies behavior plans and data collection methods across all daily routines.

Collaborate & Communicate: Maintain proactive ongoing communication with families general education teachers and related service providers to ensure unified support for student success.

Salary per Branford Education Association Contract:

$56974 ï½ $113513 pending degree level
