As the Sous Chef at The Block you will work alongside the Chef to support daily kitchen operations and lead the BOH team. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading kitchen execution during assigned shifts
• Maintaining food quality consistency and presentation standards
• Coaching training and developing BOH team members
• Supporting prep inventory food cost and waste control
• Maintaining food safety sanitation and kitchen cleanliness standards
• Supporting ordering and product organization
• Partnering with FOH leadership to deliver a strong overall guest experience
• Helping create a positive accountable and team-focused kitchen culture

Were looking for someone with strong culinary skills and previous experience working in a high-volume kitchen. Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.

The ideal candidate is organized dependable communicates well and can stay focused and positive in a fast-paced environment. You should be comfortable leading a team holding standards solving problems and jumping in wherever needed to ensure a successful service.
