Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Sous Chef in our Dietary Department at Baptist Medical Center Clay located on Fleming Island. This is a full-time opportunity with various shifts.
As the Sous Chef you will be resposible for:
- Supervising food service associates and grill cooks in the preparation and service of food to patients in a safe and sanitary manner
- Delegating job duties to associates from start to end of their assigned shift
- Being accountable for the operation and quality/quantity of food in area on a daily basis
- Displaying excellent customer service skills
- Understanding and maintaining proficiency on all cooking equipment in area
- Teaching associates the appropriate production charts and HACAAP logs
- This position requires a Manager Level Serve Safe Certification or the ability to obtain one within one year of hire
Experience Requirements:
- Less than 1 Year of Cooking Experience - Required
- 1-2 Year of Supervisory Experience - Required
Education & Credential Requirements:
- High School Diploma - Required
