Position Summary:
This positionis responsible foroverseeing the strategicdevelopment and executionof product categoriesfor direct or indirect leader of peopleand categoriesis focused on value and goal-basedobjectivesfor their categories andwill leadtheirteam ofcross-functionalassociatesto ensurethatthey are managing all supplier engagementdevelopmentand continuous will include managing all sourcing contracting supplier managementqualityand other procurement activities for their categories.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead cross functional teamto develop best in class strategic procurementactivitiesfor assigned categories in support of businessobjectives.
Drivesupplier performance management strategies which includespend/supply assessments consolidation strategy supplierselectionand financial analysis.
Execute overall performance managementtacticsincluding leading supplier performance reviews to ensure operational executionfor all suppliers within the categories.
Obtain and communicatemarket condition information commercial opportunities category strategy updatesrisk assessment project status risk assessment updates active RFQs and technology trend to commodities and suppliers.
Work with cross-functional teams to design sourcing strategiesidentifyand evaluate potential suppliers and negotiate supply agreements.
Drive cost savings within each assigned spend category.
Drive continuous high qualityand technical continuous improvement within each assigned spec category.
Establish andmaintainexceptional relationships with suppliers while ensuring that all interactions are conducted with the highest level of ethics/integrity.
Negotiate purchase/supply/service supplier negotiations with an approach that is consistent with Swageloks values while achieving Swageloks businessobjectivesand risk management expectations.
Monitor supplier performance and resolve major supplier performance reliability relationshipsandtechnicalissues.
Ensure teams familiarity and adherence to Global Sourcing and Supplier Management System policies and procedures.
Drivethetimelycompletion of supplier corrective actionrequestand reviews and approves final documentationsubmittedfor closure.
Recruit motivate and help to develop a professional high performing sourcing staff.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Required:
Abachelors degree;Preferred inSupply ChainEngineeringorother relevant areaof focus
5 years of operations engineeringand/or sourcing experienceincluding experience with complex high impact business negotiations; Preferred1 years ofsupervisor/management experience
Excellent communication leadership and negotiation skills are required.

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:
- Working conditions associated with normal office environment.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment (e.g. computer telephone copier printer etc.).
- Ability to effectively communicate in both small and large groups and settings.
- Ability to traverse between multiple locations in Ohio and Pennsylvania as needed.
- Occasional domestic and/or international travel may be required.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards including meeting qualitative and quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular punctual attendance consistent with the ADA FMLA and other federal state and local standards.
