Quotes for rentals and services - big chunk of their business is not about selling smth - its about renting equipment or doing services
cost/ margin control at quote stage
integration with SAP ECC (for materials customers and follow up sales docs i.e. contract sales order etc.)
Performance optimization (we need to improve system response time - currently its too slow)

1. Technical Ownership & Strategy
This role will build the technical strategy for the CPQ rebuild ensuring the platform is built for long term scalability and not just patchwork fixes. Baker Hughes wants someone who can think beyond configuration and bring true architectural leadership.
2. Cross Functional Collaboration
The architect will work closely with sales operations product teams and offshore engineering groups. Strong communication skills and an ability to translate business needs into technical requirements are essential.
3. Legacy Challenges
The existing quoting system is unstable and slowing down sales processes. They need someone who can troubleshoot performance bottlenecks improve response times and rebuild key workflows.
4. Future State Enablement
This role is critical as they transition into a new sales management system. The architect will help shape that future state and ensure SAP CPQ integrates cleanly into broader enterprise tools.
5. High Visibility Role
This project is receiving attention at the leadership level due to system performance directly affecting revenue operations. Strong accountability and ownership will be important.
