AWS Emerging Talent Program - Solutions Architect
The Emerging Talent (ET) program within AWS Industries and Strategic Accounts develops the next generation of AWS Solutions Architects (SAs). We prepare talented individuals to work with AWSs most influential and strategic customers helping them transform their businesses on the AWS Cloud.
Program Overview:
Our program offers a 6-month mentorship where you will:
- Learn how to architect solutions on the AWS Cloud
- Develop skills to lead customer engagements as a Solutions Architect
- Work alongside experienced professionals who will guide your development
Location Details:
The program operates in Dallas Texas or Seattle WA for the first 6 months. After completing the program we will assign you to a customer account that may require relocation (within the United States) to a city with an Amazon office near your customer.
Start Date Details:
This is a cohort-based program where everyone is required to start on the same day. Start dates are tentatively set to occur January 4 and July 6 of 2027.
What Youll Do:
As part of the ET program you will:
- Engage directly with real customers on actual business challenges
- Participate in hands-on customer engagements from day one
- Apply AWS services and architectural best practices in real-world scenarios
- Develop technical and business acumen through direct customer interaction
- Work with mentors to build and implement solutions for actual business needs
- Prepare for a role advising AWSs most strategic and influential customers through practical experience

- Create solutions that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS services
- Interface with customer stakeholders including developers and team leads
- Drive effective feedback gathering from customers distill and translate feedback into clear business and technical requirements for product and engineering teams

About the team
Customers within AWS Industries and Strategic Accounts represent some of the largest most influential customers in their respective industries. Upon completion of the ET program youll progress to become a field Solutions Architect. There youll collaborate with other members of the sales account teams to help drive AWS customers service adoption act as a thought leader by conveying best practices in both 1-to-1 and 1-to-many customer events and convey customer feedback internally to help shape the direction of the AWS Cloud.
- Experience with two or more of the following: networking fundamentals security storage or databases (relational or NoSQL) operating systems (Unix Linux and/or Windows)
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences including executive level stakeholders or clients
- Currently has or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelors degree or above in Computer Science Computer Engineering or related fields
- Experience communicating and delivering presentations to customers stakeholders and/or teammates
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python JavaScript C# Java etc.
- Must be 18 or older
- Experience implementing a cloud-based technology solution in a school project or while working for a company
- Experience with one or more of the following domains: analytics security storage DevOps application development or machine learning
- AWS Associate-level certification(s) or above.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
